ZUMAIA FLYSCH TRAIL REGULATIONS 2022

 

1.- DATE AND PLACE

The “XIII Zumaia Flysch Trail lasterketa” will be played on October 2, 2022.

The exit and finish will be in the square Eusebio Gurrutxaga.

2.- REGISTRATION.

Registration will open on May 14 and close on September 4, provided that the maximum number of participants is not reached earlier. Total participants 700 people.

Registration will be made on the website kronoak.com.

  • Flysch Trail Mendi Lasterketa. Half Marathon (22,2km)
    • Price: 35€

Being the Half Marathon, races of the WMRA, runners who are not federated in the athletics federation will be made the day card of this federation.

After payment, the organization will register the runner in the race. Those who do not meet these requirements will no enter the list of registrations for the Flysch trail mountain race.

If a runner for not being able to participate wants to unsubscribe, they can unsubscribe by calling or sending an email. You will be refunded the money discounting 6 euros for management fees.

If you unsubscribe in the last week, the money will not be refunded.

3.-COLLECTION OF DORSALS – BIB NUMBERS

Carpa de Plaza Eusebio Gurrutxaga.

Schedule:

  • Saturday, October 1, 16:00-20:00. Carpa de Plaza Eusebio Gurrutxaga.
  • Sunday, October 2, 08:00-09:30. Carpa de Plaza Eusebio Gurrutxaga.

To receive the bib number, the presence of the participant is mandatory and cannot be collected by anyone else. Written authorizations or delegations shall not be accepted.

To receive the bib number, the ID or equivalent must be presented.

4.- RACE TIME:

  • 10:00: Flysch Trail Mendi Lasterketa. Half Marathon (22,2km)

Worl Mountain Running Cup (WMRA)

  • Basque Country Championship (EAF/FVA)
  • Popular race.

5.- CONTROL AND INSPECTION OF BIB AND MATERIAL.

It will open the departure area 10’ before the race. Here the organizer will be able to carry out an inspection of the material: footwear, bib, clothing,..

The organization will be competent to sanction the broker who does not respect the schedule.

6.- SERVICES

The storage and shower services will be carried out at the Lubaki Sports Center (Basadi auzategia 16).

There will also be a luggage storage service in the departure area. In addition, in this area will be located the main food and drink supply point, soft shower, toilets,…

 8.- ROUTE

The race will take place by  “The UNESCO World Geopark of the Basque Coast”.

          Flysch Trail Mendi Lasterketa. Half Marathon:

  • Distance: 22,2 km
  • Accumulated elevation: 850m
  • Maximum height: 210m

9.- CLASSIFICATION AND AWARDS

All classification and awards will be held for women and men.

9.1.- CLASSIFICATION

Once the classification is published, you will have 30 minutes to make any claim. After time, the rankings will become official.

The races will be timed in accordance with WMRA regulations.

  • Flysch Trail Mendi Lasterketa. Half Marathon (22,2km)
    • Senior (18-35 years)
    • Master (+35) in groups (35-40, 41-45, 46-50…).
    • Absolut and master of Zumaia.
    • Sub 18. (15-18 years)
    • Sub 18 of Zumaia.

The age of the runner will be taken into account on the 31 December 2022.

9.3.-PODIUM TIMES

  • Flysch Trail Mendi Lasterketa. Half marathon: 13:00-13:30.
  • Tribute to Alpinisme: 13:30-14:00

10.- SECURITY.

The organization will have Civil Liability and accident insurance. We will count on the collaboration of the Red Cross.

The organization recommends that all participants have a medical examination before the test. Everyone must take the risk posed by sports activity.

11.- SEIGNALING.

The route and the kilometres shall be properly signposted with indicator signs.

12.- SUPPLIES.

During the race there will be diferent supply points (see plane).

For any small accident, in each supply there will be a basic kit.

13.- CONTROLS ON THE MARATHON.

The organization will PLACE control zone in 12,3 Km., being essential to pass for it, since in these zone the regulatory control of passage will be carried out.

14.- MANDATORY WITHDRAWAL POINTS IN THE MARATHON.

No mandatory withdrawal points in the race. Meta End will be close at 14 pm. The runners who have not finished by this houre, the organization will consider as retired.

15.- ENVIROMENT / PEOPLE EQUALITY.

The race takes place through the “Unesco World Geopark on the Basque Coast”.

At each feeding and control point there will be garbage containers at a distance of 25m and 50m. All participants must use these areas to throw rubbish. In all other spaces this possibility will not exist.

During the race there will be environmental judges and 40 volunteers controlling and advising.

Runners who fail the comply with this rule will be excluded from the race.

16.- SAFETY IN THE RACE.

The organization shall have every right, upon agreement with the Career Commission, to divert the test by an alternative route, make any modifications it deems necessary and, if weather conditions require it, suspend the race.

17.- HELP IN ACCIDENTS.

It will be the participants request to accompany any accidents and report any accidents at the checkpoints.

18.- RESPONSABILITY

The organization will take care of any accident that occurs within the route, but not of the runners in case of negligence.

Not will it have responsibility for the personal objects of the participants, for that purpose there will be a storage service in the Lubaki Sports center.

Participants will be responsible for any damage caused to themselves or third parties.

19.- TRAININGS AND DRAWS

As in recent years, in 2021 trainings will be organized so that participants can take them.

They will be 6 trainings days, 2 in June, 2 in July and 2 in September. Women who cumpliment 4 trainings, we will raffle 30 bib numbers  from the equality department of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa.

For this, you will have to put the name, surname, phone number and email at the beginning of eag training.

20.- COVID 19 REGULATIONS

Depending on the epidemiological situation, before the race the organization will take the necessary measures and establish a specific COVID protocol. This protocol will be available to all runners before the race.

21.- APPROVAL OF THE REGULATION

All participants, with their participation, approve this regulation. What is not listed in it is regulated by WMRA regulation.
